Hafod-y-Blodau (Hafod) is a self catering holiday cottage situated 3 ½ miles from Builth Wells, Powys (home of The Royal Welsh Show) in the heart of mid Wales. This delightful converted barn is perched at the top of the hill with breathtaking views over the Irfon valley and the Cambrian Mountains. A birdwatchers paradise, on a level with birds circling high above the valley, Hafod is surrounded by pasture land and woodland to which tenants are permitted access on foot leading onto the open hill for walking enthusiasts. Fishing in the River Irfon is available by arrangement and there is pony trekking near by. An easy drive to Hay on Wye, The Black Mountains, The brecon Beacons and The Elan Valley Dams, Rhayader it provides an ideal refuge from the hurly burly of every day life with peace and tranquillity yet accessible to a wide range of interesting attractions or activities, either energetic or not!

ACCOMMODATION

Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and cupboard units. Sitting room with wood burning stove (logs provided) and colour TV. French windows give access to a sun terrace, with garden furniture and a barbeque stored in the garden shed at the side of the cottage. The entrance hall provides ample space for storing coats and boots and has an adjoining downstairs w.c with hand basin.. Outside the cottage there is space for parking. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with twin beds in each and a hand basin in one. Bathroom with power shower over bath, w.c. and hand basin. All linen is provided Night storage and convection heaters to supplement wood stove.
